Does this cut through cardboard?

No the blade is not long enough to cut through cardboard. We recommend a Slice Box Cutter or Pacific Handy Cutter Utility Knife.

What is the difference between the 00100 and 00200?
Justin Hines –
Hi Patricia,
They are both the same cutters except the 00100 is in bulk packaging. The 00200 we sell listed here has easy to open packaging that is frustration free.

How much force do I need to cut? I have pain my joints and don’t want to hurt myself
SafetyCutters.net –
Hi Regina,
You don’t need much force at all because the ceramic blades effectively start cutting the sweet spot of its blade. You are also less likely to harm yourself with ceramic blades despite them being sharper and more durable. This cutter cuts through any material that is less than 2mm thick with ease.
Also, Slice blades dull very slowly. As such, they don’t need to be excessively sharp out of the box. They start off at a safe sharpness and stay there much longer. In fact, Slice safety blades last an average of 11 times longer than dangerous metal blades.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Will this cut thick wrapping paper?
SafetyCutters.net –
Hi Claire,
This cutter will have no problem cutting through wrapping paper. In fact this cutter will cut through any material less than 2mm with ease!
To preserve the sharpness of the ceramic blade, ensure that the surface beneath the wrapping paper is not rough like concrete or asphalt.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
